 The set dance isn't a dance rhythm at all, but rather a generic term for tunes written speifically for one set of dance steps. Most set dances are hornpipes, but you'll find some jigs and marches too. Set dances sometimes have irregular numbers of bars, but appart from that there's nothing special about the way you play them.
