  | No, Fender has not started making banjos again. They buy standard Korean-made instruments and sell them under their own brand name. This budget model has a one-piece aluminium pot, a generous amount of brackets (30), a 27-3/8" scale length, mahogany resonator and neck, rosewood fretboard and a rosewood bridge. All in all it's a nice-looking and very playable instrument very well suited for a beginner or even as a secondary instrument for somebody who mainly plays some other stringed instrument. The sound's a bit on the - raunchy - side, but what can you expect in this price range? |
