Hi Paul, enjoyed your article on tenor guitars. I buy sell and repair acoustic guitars and ran up on a 1934 gibson f-hole tenor in very good condition. Is it worth $1000 ?

So FEW professional tenor guitars come on the market, it's hard to set a value. Is it electrified? If not, it may have a carved top (they started putting bent plywood tops on them when they added pickups). I know that if you wanted to buy a professional carved-top tenor today, you'd pay way more than $1000. But the market is so small.
Also, are you selling or buying. If it's for yourself, and you want the best sound you can get out of a tenor, it might be worth $1k to you.
If you're buying to resell, try to buy at a price that you could make a nice profit if you sold it for $1K ($700 or less). Otherwise, you could wait a long time for the right buyer.

Thanks again, Marty Reising.
