A far as I can tell, "parlor guitar" was a name given to the "full-sized" guitars once the Jumbo and Dreadnought came out. Readers get confused when people tell them that these relatively-dinky looking instruments are "full-sized." Yet, among certain pop and acoustic-oriented stars, the parlor guitar is making a comeback.
