I am testing a new artist page.

http://paulracemusic.com

It's still under development, but I'd love feedback.

Part of the problem is that I haven't put any new recordings "out there" for a few years - I've been too busy helping and creating resources for other people. But I need to get started SOMEWHERE.

If you get a chance to take a look, please let me know what you think. If you're already a member, you can log in here. If not, use this link: http://creekdontrise.com/contact.htm

Thanks bunches,

Paul

Added a Blog that I couldn't make look like the rest of the site, so I changed the rest of the site to look more like the blog. It's a nice look if I say so myself. Plus now I have a blog. When does the money start rolling in?

As some of you know, I've been acquainted for years with Tom Jackson, Leanne Regalla, and several other folks who professionally coach musicians and artists. Recently folks like Rick Barker have been emphasizing ways to use social media, etc, to enhance your music career.

I asked these coaches if they had seen anybody over 60 using these methods successfully, and nobody could remember any other old-timers who had used them at all. So as an experiment, I signed up for a couple of their services, and started refreshing my artist site and building the other pages they talked about.

So I have a refreshed artist page, and a new blog (above).

I have added a facebook page that was just for my music (to keep my employer from realizing that I have interests outside of work).

http://www.facebook.com/paulracemusic/

And I have added a YouTube channel that points to the Facebook page.

I also figured out how to make my WordPress-based blog point to my YouTube page, something you can't do if you let WordPress host the page.

I still need content on these pages, but I also have to dig out my notes on all those things Rick Barker and the other coaches said to do with these things once they were set up. :-)

Uploaded a couple interesting videos to the YouTube, then made one, sort of. Illustrating the "Boil That Cabbage Down" 5-string patern from our Beginning Folk Banjo Lesson 4.

The Lesson is at: http://creekdontrise.com/tabs_instr/ban ... ing_04.htm

You can see the You Tube on my You-Tube site: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC66hkh ... FlbA5C85Xw

Plus I have a link to it from my facebook page here: https://www.facebook.com/paulracemusic

and my blog here: http://paulracemusic.com/blog

I still need backlinks several places. This video was just for a test to make certain I knew how to do this stuff before I invested a lot of time into building infrastrucure.
